The Senior Quality of
Life Foundation
grew from concern and recognition within the aging community that public funding can no longer address the total needs of Sussex County’s expanding senior population.

Public dollars to support seniors will not meet the need as our aging population continues to increase. The fastest-growing segment of the population consists of persons over age 60; individuals who are most often in need of some assistance.

Your gift can make a difference. The Foundation supports community programs that enable seniors to live in the community with independence and dignity.

Funding priorities include:

• Life-Enhancing Activities
• In-Home Services
• Intergenerational Programming
• Community Outreach
• Volunteer Development and Support

The Senior Quality of
Life Foundation
has created the first and only public-private partnership with Sussex County citizens and corporations to provide needed services for Sussex County’s elders.

While everyone is aging, all older adults do not share the same quality of life in their golden years.

The Foundation is reaching out for restricted and unrestricted financial support to fundraising and grantmaking that will ensure the availability of important and needed services for our older adults well into the future.

Donations of appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and cash are welcome. Naming the Foundation as a beneficiary in your Will, your IRA, pension plan, charitable annuity or charitable remainder trust will ensure that you leave a legacy of hope for less fortunate elders in Sussex County.

The mission of the Foundation
is two-fold:

• To provide programs and activities for Sussex County seniors not available from government sources.
   
• To educate seniors, their families, and the community about resources available in Sussex County which will enhance the quality of the lives of our senior citizens, now and in the future.
